Cult Leader Visual Development
Cendrillon, The Oculus of Truth
This project features design and visual development for a deceptive cult leader, Cendrillon, who has made a pact to an elder god to become his vessel. The primary challenge was evoking the sublime, and making him seem approachable and kind while still ensuring a divine and otherworldly presence. This required that I look to divine vestments and depictions of deities across cultures, and evoke power through light and fabric layering. The process included rounds of silhouetting, ideation, and iteration, followed by color studies, expressions, and a full turnaround.
